Use & Care

Take a bit of extra care when wearing and storing your menorquinas ~ they will thank you by looking after your feet for many years!

Just like any leather shoe, our avarcas will feel quite rigid for a few wears. Nubuck is leather that's been sanded/buffed into a velvet-like surface, much similar to suede but thicker and more resistant. Over time, it will only become more soft and comfortable.

The soles are made of recycled rubber and natural jute, which may have slight variations in colour.

TIPS

Nubuck
  • Nubuck/suede protector spray to enhance the colour and to protect against rain and humidity.
  • Nubuck/suede brush to remove external dirt.
  • Combi foam to wash off water and salt stains.
    Jute
    • Soft brush, which can be either an old shoe brush or tooth brush, to remove external dirt.
    • If muddy or stained, dip the brush in a small amount of neutral soap and brush the jute horizontally until the stains are gone. Use a damp cotton cloth to remove any excessive soap.
Natural jute prefers to remain dry so try to avoid the rain when wearing your menorquinas. Sometimes the inevitable happens and they get wet, if so simply let them air dry.

Try to always store your menorquinas in a cool, dry place whenever possible.
